Care Workers: Read This Section Twice
The Health and Care Worker route uses the same £1,270 rule — but with two realities Nigerians must plan around:
- Dependants are restricted. Since the 2024–2026 rule changes, most new care workers cannot bring partners or children on dependant visas. Budget and plan on this basis.
- Where dependants are still allowed (other Skilled Worker occupations), each adds to the requirement: £285 for a partner, £315 for the first child, £200 per additional child — all subject to the same 28-day rule.
