"Why the UK instead of Nigeria — or Canada?" — Have a substantive answer: course length (one-year masters), specific programme strengths, professional recognition of UK qualifications in your field.
"What modules will you study?" — Know three or four real module names from the course page. This single question exposes more coached applicants than any other.

"How are you funding your studies?" — State the structure precisely: "Tuition of £16,500 — £6,000 deposit already paid, the balance from my father's account; maintenance of £9,207 held in my own GTBank account for over 28 days." "What does your sponsor do? What is their income?" — The plausibility check: declared income must credibly produce the balances shown. This is the interview version of the genuineness analysis officers run on statements.
"Where did this money come from?" — If your statement shows large recent credits, know the source-of-funds story cold — the documents are in your file; your answer must match them.

"How will you cope with London living costs?" — Show you know real numbers (rent ranges, transport) — awareness of costs is treated as evidence of genuine planning.
Agent and Intention Questions
"Did you use an agent?" — Answer honestly; using an agent is fine. What refuses applications is an interview that suggests the agent did the thinking: you can't name your modules, your funding structure, or why this university.
"What are your plans after the course?" — The safe ground is a career plan that the course enables — in Nigeria or through legal routes like the Graduate visa. Never deny knowing about post-study options (that reads as coached); frame them as options, not the purpose.
"Have you been refused a visa before?" — Disclose truthfully. A previous refusal handled honestly is survivable; a concealed one is not.
